CCTV cameras equipped with a facial recognition system are installed at strategic monitoring points in shopping malls, chain stores and franchises, such as at entrances and exits, corridors or in selected stores. Customer data is acquired in real time and sent via video streaming for processing by a system based on AI algorithms, which recognizes groups, recurring customers and profiles, counts access and returns information to the point of sale.
The large volume of data captured in customer journey monitoring is then processed and organized by a Big Data system where the metadata is stored. The system analyzes the activities carried out by customers, the length of stay on site, the times of presence and preferred places in the store, the space use models with Heatmap and organizes information in various formats, in an extremely high speed, overcoming the processing capacity of traditional processing technologies.
